Jeremy - President
Jeremy is a solutions-oriented team leader having the ability to remain calm and productive under pressure. He “arrived” by coming through the trenches in the bridge construction field serving variously as site superintendent, coordinator and office manager since 1997.
His leadership style combines flexibility, humor, dedication, and enthusiasm with high standards of expectation and performance. Good business is conducted by good people. To recruit quality people his focus has been: find the right attitude - a combination of energy, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and willingness to go the extra mile. The result is a core of dynamic team leaders having a unique blend of youth and experience.
Dawn - VP, HR
As co-founder of Camwood, Dawn brings sound experience from Corporate Canada in operations, human resources and, earlier in her career, IT.
As a bonus to these attributes, she has a construction heritage that contributes a healthy industry understanding to the family business.
Jetta – Estimator
Jetta (pronounced "yetta") brings youthful energy and exuberance built on experience. As a second generation tile and stone mason she has more than a decade of experience in new construction and renovations. Her credits include numerous complex projects in schools, recreation centres and commercial buildings.
The demonstration of her exemplary skills led to appointment as foreman for a prominent BMW project (40,000 sq. ft. – 1 year duration). Jetta led the crew for the completion of interior/exterior tile and stone renovations at 8 Safeway stores throughout BC. She knows the business.
Mike - Project Coordinator
Michael is a man with a past. He served time as assistant production manager for North America's largest manufacturer of heavy duty machinery attachments serving the oil/gas and construction industries.
His construction business acumen has been strengthened by time served as a financial manager for institutional and private wealth. He is abundantly equipped for managing and solving problems. As an outdoor enthusiast, Michael is excited when he makes his regular trips to Camwood jobsites; the more remote, the better.
Dave - Business Development
Somewhere in every successful organization there is a grey-headed sage. Dave answered that call and enjoys the opportunity to contribute his sales, marketing and management acumen to son Jeremy’s burgeoning enterprise. His thirty year career in the graphics industry included experience as entrepreneur, sales manager, and general manager of a major BC grand format graphics company.
Dave’s goal is to help Camwood grow its business through new opportunities, new fields of endeavour and new relationships. He is active in the advertising, marketing and sales of Behlen steel structures and other new products and services.
Antonio - Superintendent, Bridge Construction
Despite his youth, Tony is a seasoned veteran of the bridge-building world, having formal certification (fourth year carpentry ticket) and more than a decade of experience on some very demanding projects He has been managing jobs as a Superintendant since 2007. Having received his training under some of the industry’s notables, Tony has worked in all phases of bridge construction including resurfacing, demolition, seismic upgrades and new construction.
He thrives on challenging projects in dangerous, even remote environments rising to each occasion to preserve the safety of his team, the integrity of the environment and the client’s timelines. Tony takes pride in quality of workmanship. He has a track record of sound hands-on team leadership that has garnered respect in the industry as well as among those he leads.
Danny - Superintendent
Danny has been around tools and construction all of his life. Growing up in Terrace, BC, he helped Dad and friends to build houses from the age of 8. At 14, he soloed on a house of his own.
After a segue into commercial fishing, Danny returned to carpentry, refined his skills in trade school and apprenticed under a talented craftsman.
He has worked on some very high end custom homes and other elaborate projects. Since age 28 he has been running his own carpentry crews. And so now, Danny at Camwood, is a force for good work.
Seth - Crew Foreman
When you meet Seth, you'll see a resemblance to Paul Bunyan. His youthfulness doesn't convey the depth of his experience in the construction trades.
His history includes tile setting, framing, commercial concrete and self-employed general contracting (siding, eaves, gutters). He enjoys a working man's knowledge of heavy machinery. Best asset: he is invaluable as a driven and decisive solver of problems common to any jobsite. And, oh yeah, he's charming too.
Krissy – Site Coordinator/Administrator
Every busy worksite generates as much detail and paperwork as it does building materials. Krissy’s extensive background in accounting, law, real estate and business management has equipped her to establish and run an office in the field proficiently. She keeps it all straight!
Her feeling about working at Camwood: “What excites me is the energy, diligence and quality the Camwood team puts into each project. All the ideas for success arise spontaneously within the company.”
