What’s a Camwood?
Camwood Construction Ltd. is a general contractor specializing in Bridge Construction and Commercial Building Systems.
Everybody has to be somewhere, so we’re in Mission, British Columbia. You will however, find our projects all over Western Canada.
My business philosophy has many facets. It starts with “Love What You Do” and finishes with a lesson I learned from my great-grandfather, who was a successful businessman during the great depression – “You don’t have to make all the money; leave something for the next guy.”
Camwood is about relationships built on flexibility, humour, dedication, and enthusiasm coupled with necessary high standards of expectation and performance.
While I concede that this may not be a typical business model, it has worked well for me, both in recruiting quality employees and developing solid business relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
My corporate credo has purpose:
- Quality – Deliver superior products and service.
- Control – Manage the process; don’t let the process manage you.
- Results – Be safe. Be on time. Be under budget. Enjoy your work.
